Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our corporate accounting team. This role focuses on the consistent execution of bank transaction processing, reconciliations, and discrepancy research. Reports to the Supervisor of General Accounting. This position interacts with other accounting departments and field locations. The ideal candidate values accuracy, process consistency, and long-term stability within a structured accounting environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Daily clearing of General Ledger accounts related to bank transactions
  • Preparation of monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Research and resolution of bank adjustments and outstanding items
  • Investigation and follow-through on discrepancies until completion
  • Preparation of journal entries related to bank transactions
  • Support month-end close procedures
  • Support unclaimed property process
  • Assist with recurring and special accounting projects as needed

$53,287 - $65,000 per year (dependent on experience) 

 

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
  • 1–2 years of experience in an accounting, finance, or business function
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with an accounting system (SAP preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of transactional data
  • Demonstrated ability to research issues thoroughly and bring them to resolution
  • Ability to manage high volume of data
  • Comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven environment with recurring responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
