We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Electrician to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring all electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and power distribution equipment operate safely and efficiently to maximize plant uptime and gas production. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial electrical systems, hazardous environments, and automation systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and VFDs. While this position will be located at our Stanfield, AZ facility, this position will also support our other RNG facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant electrical systems
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Diagnose electrical and controls issues affecting gas systems
  • Calibrate and maintain gas analyzers, pressure transmitters, flow meters, and sensors
  • Support startup, commissioning, and shutdown activities
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E
  • Conduct lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Work with methane detection and hazardous classified areas
  • Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams
  • Assist with plant expansions and control upgrades
  • Maintain logs, drawings, and records

This position requires 25% travel to our RNG facilities located in Columbus, OH and Plattsburgh, NY.

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Minimum 5+ years industrial electrical experience
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and 480V 3-phase systems
  • Strong understanding of hazardous location electrical requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation diagrams
  • Familiarity with biogas, landfill gas, wastewater, or anaerobic digestion systems preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated platforms
  • Ability to work on-call, weekends, and emergencies
  • Comfortable working around noise, heat, and gas systems
